Lotus Traveler and the iPhone

I’ve been using Traveler for quite some time but have only just started using an iPhone (I know, you either think I’m sad for having taken this long to start using an iPhone or sad for having started to use an iPhone) and found a limitation which I’d been unaware of; if you create a new calendar meeting, on the iPhone, and add an invitee the entry is created successfully on both the iPhone and your Lotus Notes mail file but you get an e-mail immediately saying:

“The meeting <Meeting Name> was synchronised to the server as an appointment without attendees. IBM Lotus Notes Traveler does not support creating meetings from your Apple device.”

So, it’s good that it handles the failure elegantly and informs you that it hasn’t worked and won’t work but it sure would be nice if it did work. The positive news is after checking the InfoCenter I found that it says “This restriction will be removed in a future update of the Lotus Notes Traveler server.”, although it doesn’t say when.
